Bokar Rinpoche India Retreats

Dated: August 15, 2001

The Board of Directors of Kagyu Changchub Chuling recognizes that:

  • the authentic source of our tradition (Dharma) is embodied in the great
    masters of our lineage,
  • our lineage is founded upon direct personal transmission of the teaching
from the authentic source of dharma,
  • the opportunity is fading to be able to receive teachings directly from
the most accomplished living masters of our lineage,
  • maximizing direct contact with the authentic source of dharma is critical
to ensuring the authenticity of the dharma in the west,
  • Receiving teachings from Bokar Rinpoche, a primary lineage holder,
generally requires the effort and expense of a trip to India.

Therefore, the Board of Directors strongly encourages individuals to take
personal responsibility for receiving teachings directly from our lineage
holders in general, and specifically confirms the essential role of Bokar
Rinpoche's India Retreats to the accomplishment of the mission and vision of
KCC.
