Calm Abiding (Zhinay in Tibetan, Shamatha in Sanskrit) is a basic sitting meditation that develops stable attention and provides the basis for investigating more subtle aspects of awareness. It is the foundation of spiritual practice at KCC.
Join us for Sunday morning Calm Abiding practice every Sunday. The first Sunday of the month can be a longer practice period. On Fourth Sundays we hold a potluck lunch after the morning Q&A, approximately 11:15.
We also offer our Children’s Program on second and fourth Sunday mornings (only on fourth Sunday during summer months).
9:00am - 10:00am — Calm Abiding meditation, with brief instruction
10:15am - 11:00am — Teachings and/or question and answer session
