Class: Ngondro Refuge Practice Led by: Bill Spangle, at KCC Urban Center

June 16, 2012 9:00am - 12:00pm

The Ngondro practices are frequently referred to as the preliminaries for the Vajrayana.  At KCC, Ngondro is mainly taught and supported as a component of the Mahamudra Program designed by Kyabje Bokar Rinpoche. Though, it is not required to participate in the Mahamudra retreat in order to practice ngondro. This session will cover Refuge and Prostration a practice which deepens the sense of taking refuge in the Three Jewels, and develops bodhicitta—the enlightened or altruistic attitude of benefitting others which is based on love and compassion for all beings.
