Third Class: May 5, 9:30-12:00pm
This six-part series will include practical instruction, background teachings and opportunities for group practice and dialogue for those who are engaged in the Karma Kagyu Ngondro (“Foundation" Practices) and other practices of the Mahamudra Seminar Program. The teachings will make the practices accessible to new practitioners and challenge experienced practitioners to find new depth. I would specifically request that long time practitioners consider taking part in this year’s program to add momentum to our community of practice. Over the years many people have started the Mahamudra Program and the move into our new home is a wonderful opportunity to reinvigorate our collective practice energy.
Since there is a new cohort of people who attended the January Mahamudra Program in India, this series will follow the quarterly practice schedule beginning with Refuge and Bodhicitta with prostrations. The rest of the Ngondro practices will be presented each quarter of the year. For those involved in the subsequent stages of Insight and Mahamudra, separate sessions may be offered to respond to questions and encourage deeper exploration of these practices.
While this is principally offered to support those who are engaged in Bokar Rinpoche’s Mahamudra Program, it may be of interest to anyone engaged in the Preliminary Practices of the Karma Kagyu lineage whether you are actively engaged in this program or are independently practicing.
For those who are not familiar with the seminar program please see this page for an overview.
