KCC Website Committee Charter

Approved: April 20, 2003

PURPOSE

The purpose of the KCC Website Committee is to develop and manage
KCC's website at www.kcc.org, the email listservs and other resources
as determined by the Executive Director with guidance from the Board of
Directors and the Program Council. The committee will strive to serve
the needs of the KCC sangha and other website visitors and it will
design and manage the website to meet those needs in alignment with the
mission and vision of KCC.

MEMBERSHIP AND STAFFING

Members of the Website Committee will be appointed by and report to
the Executive Director. Members will be selected based on their web
design, communication and technical skills, including HTML editors,
File Transfer Protocol (FTP), web server management, listserv
applications, image editing software, web audio file technologies and
any other technologies used in support of the committee's purpose.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The committee will be responsible for technical decisions and will
seek guidance and suggestions from other organizational units in the
production and management of web content and management of the
listservs.

The responsibilities of the KCC Website Committee are:

  • Solicit comments, changes and enhancements to the KCC website and any other technical resources within the committee's purview;
  • Monitor and manage changes to the technical environments in order to assure their availability and viability; and
  • Design, develop and deploy changes and enhancements to the KCC website and listservs.

COMMUNICATION

The Website Committee will work closely with the Communications
Director, Board of Directors, Capital Campaign Leadership Committee and
the Program Council to prioritize the changes and enhancements to the
KCC website and other technical environments within its purview.
