KCC Policies
KCC: Urban Center Use
Adopted: January 20, 2002
KCC is a Vajrayana Buddhist center founded by the Venerable Kalu
Rinpoche where the authentic teachings of the Karma and Shangpa Kagyu
lineages are taught, practiced and supported. The function of KCC as an
institution is to support practitioners in their process of spiritual
awakening.
- Regularly scheduled Meditation practices as approved by the Program Committee.
- Two rooms will be available to residents selected according to established guidelines.
- KCC related meetings can be scheduled through the urban center manager.
- The center is available to sangha members to do individual
practice, subject to approval by the urban center manager and schedule
availability. - It is not KCC's policy to be a hostel for Dharma travellers. KCC
members who live out of town may make arrangements with the rental
contact person for short stays. There is a suggested donation of $10
per night. - For KCC related events, non-members may stay with the approval of the rental contact person and current residents.
- KCC property: Sangha wishing to borrow items from KCC need to have
approval of the urban center manager. Items borrowed need to be
returned in a timely manner. - KCC will maintain a small bookstore and library on site. The
library will also serve as an interview room for the Resident Lama. - KCC may be used for on site retreats and periodic stays by visiting Lamas.
