Responsible for managing KCC's communication to sangha and to the
community. This position will facilitate the efficient, effective and
cost-effective completion of all formal venues of communication-
including newsletter, post cards, web site, list serves, brochures,
media campaigns, and instructional support materials.

Duties
  1. develop a comprehensive communication strategy at KCC, based on our vision/mission.
  2. create a communications policy (that says who has the authority to
    communicate what, to whom, how. For example, "The Lama and the Board
    President alone may post to ANNOUNCE.")
  3. create systems for information management (archiving, tracking projects, coordinating the scheduling of different venues, etc.)
  4. create a style 'book' so that the literary conventions of KCC's
    communication are consistent and correct (e.g. what to use as a title
    for Bokar Rinpoche in a newsletter)
  5. create and implement management of a proofing process
  6. create and manage a graphic archive of "approved" images and their appropriate identification info for use in publications
  7. manage relationships with press contacts and vendors of graphic services
  8. manage price lists/service informational files for outside vendors
Oversee the following:
  • production of all written, graphic and audio/video communication at
    KCC, including teaching/practice support materials (audio tapes, videos
    and texts, for example).
